Registration

Round 1: Regional Competition *Virtual

1. Create teams of 3-4 students. *Teachers can register as many teams as they like.

1. • Registration form requires students' names & grades.

2. Teachers register using the online competition site.

   • Registration: January 1-February 21, 2025

   • Inform MCEE of virtual testing date by February 21, 2025

   • Competition: March 1 - 30, 2025 *Virtual using portal the online competition site.

     3. Team Photo: Prior to starting the test, please take a few screenshots/photos of your team(s) and share with MCEE for marketing purposes (mcee@umn.edu).  Please include students names.

4. Teachers work with students to prepare for the competition; learn more in FAQ.

5. The registration portal will generate unique access codes for students to take the tests. When you're ready, distribute these to your students.

6. Students visit the online competition site to take their test.

7. After students have taken their tests, teachers will be able to view individual results for their teams. *Must be downloaded before the competition closes on March 30, 2025.

8. MCEE will notify teachers of advancing teams: April 1, 2025

Round 2: State Competition *In-Person - University of Minnesota - St. Paul, MN

• Registration Deadline: April 4, 2025

• State Competition (In-Person): April 16, 2025 at the University of Minnesota - St. Paul Campus Student Center

Round 3: Finals/Nationals (Case Study) *In-Person - Atlanta, GA

• Registration Deadline for Nationals: May 1, 2025

• Coach and Student Forms Due: May 5, 2025

• Nationals: June 1-2, 2025

  • Round 1 - Case Study (40 Teams)

    • Teams have 75 minutes to prepare, 8 minutes to present, & 7 minutes for Q&A.

  • Round 2 - Quiz Bowl (16 Teams) - 15 questions

  • Round 3/Finals - Quiz Bowl (4 teams) - TBD questions
