Colleen Gray
Colleen Gray is the K-8 Education Director at the Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE). Her passion for economic education initially ignited during her time as a fifth-grade teacher. Before embarking on her educational career, Colleen assumed key roles as a Program Director and Human Resources Divisional Director at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, as well as a Human Resources Manager at Cargill, Incorporated.
Colleen has amassed an impressive track record, comprising the development and leadership of numerous in-person and virtual professional development training sessions. Furthermore, she has crafted an array of elementary curriculum resources, among them "Female Pioneers in Economics'' and "Utilizing Children's Literature Written by BIPOC Authors to Teach Economics." Her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging is palpable, and she is wholly devoted to ensuring that MCEE's resources cater to the needs of all learners.
Colleen holds a Master's degree from the College of St. Scholastica and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls.
In her personal life, you can frequently find Colleen on the pickleball court, engaged in mentoring elementary students, embarking on adventures with family and friends, or passionately supporting the Minnesota Wild hockey team.
